ImageNow Client not Compatible with the ImageNow Server

Issue

Users receive an error message when attempting to connect to the ImageNow server: "This version of the ImageNow Client is not compatible with the ImageNow Server. You must update the client to version [Number] before logging in."

Environment

  • Perceptive Content (ImageNow)
  • Windows 10 / 11

Resolution

  1. Close the Application: Ensure the ImageNow client is completely shut down.
  2. Open Software Center: Open the Start Menu and type "Software Center" to launch the application.
  3. Locate the Update: Search for and select the most recent version of the ImageNow client.
    • Note: ImageNow has been rebranded to Perceptive Content; look for either name in the list.
  4. Install: Click the Install (or Reinstall) button and wait for the process to complete.
  5. Verify: Launch the Perceptive Content client and attempt to log in using your credentials.
Pro-Tip: Using eDocs is the recommended method for viewing documents unless you are specifically required to scan physical documents into the system using a dedicated ImageNow scanner.
