How do I customize my Dashboard as a student?

Answer

The new Canvas Dashboard allows students to customize which information is displayed and how the Dashboard is organized.

Customize Your Dashboard

1. From the Canvas Dashboard, click Customize dashboard.
2. Choose the widgets you would like to display on your Dashboard.
3. Add or remove widgets based on the information you want to see.
4. Rearrange widgets to organize your Dashboard in the order that works best for you.
5. Click Save changes when you are finished.

Available widgets can include information such as:

1. Course Work – View assignments that are due, missing, or submitted.
2. Course Grades – Quickly view grades and access your courses.
3. Announcements – View recent announcements from your courses.
4. People – Find people in your courses and send Canvas Inbox messages.

Switch to the Classic Dashboard

If you prefer the previous Canvas Dashboard, click Switch to old dashboard view. You can switch back to the new Dashboard at any time.
