Issue
When attempting to sign in to the Omnissa (VMware) virtual desktop environment at mydesktop.grcc.edu, users may receive an "Authentication timed out" error on the first attempt, followed by a "Failed to connect to the Connection Server" error on subsequent attempts.

Resolution
Follow either of the two options below to resolve this issue:
Option 1: Use a Different Browser
- Immediately switch to a completely different web browser (e.g., if using Chrome, try Edge or Firefox) and attempt to log in.
Option 2: Clear Browser Data (Recommended Fix)
- Access Settings: Open your browser's settings or history menu.
- Clear Data: Locate the option to Clear browsing data.
- Selection: Ensure both Cookies and Cached images and files are selected. For the most reliable fix, set the time range to "All Time."
- Restart: Close and reopen the browser, then navigate to
mydesktop.grcc.edu to sign in again.
