Issue
When attempting to sign in to the VMware virtual desktop environment at mydesktop.grcc.edu, users may receive an "Authentication timed out" error on the first attempt, followed by a "Failed to connect to the Connection Server" error on subsequent attempts.

This issue is typically browser-related and is caused by corrupted or stale session cookies and/or cached files specific to the mydesktop.grcc.edu website, which interferes with the secure connection process.
Resolution
Follow either of the two options below:
Option 1: Use a Different Browser
Option 2: Clear Browser Data (Recommended Fix)

Step 1: Access your browser's settings or history menu.

Step 2: Find the option to Clear browsing data.

Step 3: Ensure both Cookies and Cached images and files are selected, and clear the data for at least the time when the issue occurred (clearing for all time is most reliable).

Step 4: Close and reopen the browser, and then attempt to sign in to mydesktop.grcc.edu again.
