How do I enable Zoom AI Companion in my GRCC Zoom account?

Information
Zoom AI Companion is a tool that can help summarize meetings, highlight action items, create recaps, and draft messages. This feature is off by default for all GRCC accounts and must be manually enabled in your web settings.
Privacy Note: When AI Companion is active in a meeting, all participants will be notified and must accept the use of the AI tool before joining or continuing in the session.
Resolution
- Navigate to grcc.zoom.us (opens in a new window) and sign in with your GRCC credentials.
- In the left-hand navigation menu, click on Settings.
- At the top of the Settings page, select the AI Companion tab.
- Review the available features (such as Meeting Summary or Meeting Queries) and toggle the switches to On for the tools you wish to use.
- Confirm any prompts that appear to finalize your choice.
Once enabled, the AI Companion icon will appear in your Zoom toolbar during active meetings, allowing you to start summaries or ask questions in real-time.
Pro Tip: Meeting summaries are sent to the host's email and saved under the "Meetings" tab in the Zoom web portal after the session concludes.
