How do I take an exam in Respondus LockDown Browser?
Environment
- Respondus LockDown Browser
- Canvas
Answer
- Log in to Canvas (opens in a new window) and navigate to your exam.
- Select Begin at the bottom of the quiz page. LockDown Browser will launch automatically.

Note: If you do not see the
Begin button, your instructor may be using a different Canvas quiz type (Classic Quizzes). In that case:
- Close all open programs on your computer.
- Open the LockDown Browser application directly from your device.
- Log in to Canvas through the browser window that opens.
- Navigate to your course and start the exam.
