Experienced level of professional recruiter with a primary focus on GRCC’s screening committee processes (recruitment, selection and hiring process) for APSS, CEBA, Campus Police, Meet & Confer and Faculty positions. Requires familiarity with our terminology of GRCC positions. Duties include working with HR and hiring managers to clarify job qualifications and coordinating the recruitment within multiple recruitment sources. Recruiter activity includes pre-screening applicants, set up for committees, Selection Appointment Activity Record (SAAR) documentation, HR representative on screening committees, pre-employment testing, background checks, job offers and on-boarding. Recruiter works under limited supervision and will exercise considerable initiative.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Lead and oversee screening committees in the selection of employees to fill vacant positions for all regular GRCC positions

Coordinates recruitment activities with HR Generalists, Hiring Managers and/or other appropriate personnel when position(s) become vacant

Design and implement effective and cost efficient recruitment strategies including difficult or high profile recruitment efforts

Manage the new hire process for assigned employee groups and coordinate on-boarding experiences with appropriate departments

Advise and compile AA/EEO data and assist management/hiring managers with interpreting AA/EEO data for SAAR documentation. Analysis of recruitment sources will be important for current and future recruitment efforts

Documentation and implementation of screening committee outcomes (appointment letters, employee action forms, personnel file set up, etc.)

Recruiter will respond to applicant, interviewee and employee questions as appropriate

Works closely with HR Support Professional to request support for interviews. (ex: rooms, schedules, packets for screening committees, hospitality, etc.)

May assist with other general employee inquires (ex: FMLA, performance management, collective bargaining agreement questions)

Participate on cross-college committees (ex: College Action Projects) for hiring a diverse workforce. Provide data and process information and work on improvement initiatives with other Human Resources staff

Support the Human Resources Generalists during fiscal year set up and bi-weekly EAF’s (double check data input and assisting with communications to employees and supervisors)

Assist with auditing process of HRIS data

Back up for HR Coordinator for Contingency and Adjuncts

Regular attendance during normal scheduled hours is required. Being present is essential for serving customers and performing the essential functions of this position
