Provide coordination, direction, scheduling, and staff for in-person, virtual, and hybrid events at GRCC. Often taking an innovative approach to provide solutions and solve problems for customers. Develop and lead training for staff and faculty on classroom tools and event technology. Resolve issues encountered by staff and faculty when using Media Technologies equipment and software. Serve as an event technician and production assistant as assigned. Archive/catalog Media Technologies digital files and physical tapes. Organize and maintain programming schedules for both educational cable access channels operated by Media Technologies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Coordinate in-person events requiring Media Technologies support by working closely with customers to determine the best media configuration required for their event

Scheduling the event in the production calendar with detailed information on: streaming links, PowerPoints, run of show, event contact
-
Determine appropriate staff to service the event and coordinate with supervisor to schedule
-
Recommend and operate virtual/hybrid events requiring Media Technologies support by leveraging online broadcast tools such as Remo, Zoom, YouTube, Vimeo, and OBS to provide relevant service to customer requests

Create Powerpoints and other visuals based on various event requests supported by IT Media that meet GRCC brand and quality standards

Support engineering staff by responding to Media Technologies equipment and software issues encountered on and off campus by staff and faculty
-
Provide production support as assigned by Video Production Manager including script writing, camera operation, editing, live streaming, encoding, and publishing of content

Operate multi-camera video systems utilizing NDI and other tools
-
Assist faculty with creating their own video content for classroom use, including assistance with instructional delivery tools, capturing and editing tools, and GRCC's on-campus light board

Create training sessions for GRCC staff and faculty on classroom tools and event technology through online and printed materials, one-on-one meetings, and larger instructional work sessions

Use digital automation software for both educational cable access channels operated by Media Technologies to incorporate new programs, maintain programming schedules, and publish reports

Digitize analog archival content into media asset management systems as assigned

Ensure EVO video servers and other media are backed up on a regular basis to Storage DNA
-
Work closely with customers and co-workers to gather data on events and support provided in order to continuously improve Media Technologies service, responsiveness, communication of information, timelines, quality, and overall customer satisfaction

Stay current with industry advances and innovations in technology through journals, seminars, workshops, trade shows, and supplier representatives

Evaluate new technology and provide analysis and evaluation of advances relative to how they apply to our operation and assist or lead in their implementation

Ability to work independently and keep various project moving forward

Regular attendance during normal scheduled hours is required. Being present is essential for serving customers and performing the essential functions of this position

Educational Credentials
Work Experience
-
Demonstrated current knowledge of instructional teaching technologies, presentation technologies, and virtual meeting tools

Extensive experience supporting presentations in large and small venues

Demonstrated technical trouble-shooting skills

Experience in one-on-one instruction and technical demonstration
-
Experience in presenting both on camera and in person step by step instruction
-
Practiced in editing and recording tools as well as use of streaming technologies
