The Enterprise Analyst & Systems Manager position manages the workforce development enterprise system for non-credit student registration, online payment, data storage, and electronic outreach by designing, customizing, and maintaining the non-credit enterprise system and supporting applications. Assists the Dean of the School of Workforce Training in business operations and processes. Implements advanced technology solutions to fulfill the mission and vision for the School.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Manages the operation and maintenance of Workforce Training’s non-credit enterprise system. Duties include: Configuration of SQL and web servers, software installation & upgrades, hot fixes, troubleshooting, determining resolutions & applying them, and ensuring the overall security and function of all WFT systems. These duties are performed independently without IT support

Identify inefficiencies and gaps in current data warehouses and leverage solutions, identify data discrepancies and data quality issues, and work to ensure data consistency and integrity

Provides technical troubleshooting for back end users of the non-credit system. Creates documented work instructions for the end users

Designs, integrates, and maintains continuity between GRCC enterprise systems such as Blackboard, PeopleSoft, GRCC Webbuilder, Drupal. Designs, integrates and maintains continuity with external systems (i.e. PayPal, Vertical Response, Google Analytics)

Works as liaison with IT for Workforce Training technical issues such as credit card processing upgrades and LMS

Provides technical troubleshooting for back end users of the non-credit system. Creates documented work instructions for the end users

Works with vendors of supporting systems to resolve production/compatibility issues

Responsible for creating user accounts & security groups within the servers and non-credit enterprise system. Grants permissions based on specific end user functions and needs. Reports to Dean on security issues and recommends preventive maintenance actions

Applies customizations to non-credit enterprise system within the software package to offer customized reporting and customized features within the system. Also designs and applies customizations to websites

Adds customized features such as web search, links, automated emailing, and online mailing list sign up to the system

Regular attendance during normal scheduled hours is required. Being present is essential for serving customers and performing the essential functions of this position

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Educational Credentials
-
Associates degree in information technology or business field required

Bachelor’s degree in information technology field, or Business preferred

Prefer certifications in CompTia A+, Windows Operating Systems, SQL

High level of technology skills in advanced IT programs (C+, SQL, Server Admin)

Must be able to work efficiently and independently to facilitate and coordinate work

Physical Demands

Some system updates and upgrades will need to be completed on weekends, evenings or non-traditional office hours so they do not hamper student registration

Extensive computer work involved with 90% of activity done via the computer systems

Some schedule flexibility is needed to attend events or activities. Regular attendance during normal scheduled hours 80% of the time. There is the opportunity for some schedule flexibility to meet work needs
