The Shipping & Receiving Agent’s position is primarily at the Wisner-Bottrall Applied Technology Center; however, the position also requires support at multiple other college facilities as required and as directed by the Procurement Specialist. The position is responsible for overseeing the staff and operations of the Shipping and Receiving Department, including managing the shipment, receipt and delivery of all incoming GRCC parcels and managing outgoing parcels as well. Local deliveries to external customers for internal departments are required on occasion. The position also involves coordination/transportation of internal moves, including Lakeshore Campus, and warehouse responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee the Shipping and Receiving department
- Coordinate shipping clerk activities on a daily basis
- Process the receiving documentation (purchase orders, blanket purchase orders, bills of lading, right to know, etc.) and distribute goods accordingly. (Processed via PeopleSoft and SQBX)
- Coordination of the daily delivery of goods
- Coordination of uniform orders and uniform delivery for all campus (excluding Printing Services)
- Coordinate the return of goods
- Coordinate the warehouse operation (inventory, distribution, public sales, delivery/receiving, maintain orderly conditions, etc.)
- Transporting of goods both on and off campus, including delivery to off campus customers.
- GRCC Delivery vehicle driver (truck and van)
- Responsible for hi-lo operation (Operator’s license required)
- Transport departmental equipment/staging to various locations as required (Music, Athletics, Information Technology, Hospitality Education, Creative Dining, Maintenance & Operations)
- Responsible for executing maintenance and repair schedules on GRCC vehicles (truck, van, hi-lo, electric lift jack)
- Coordination and execution of departmental moves as needed
- Inventory and distribute specialty items as needed. e.g Personal Protection Equipment
- Log and assign fixed asset codes to the appropriate goods as needed
- Provides back up labor to various departments as requested
- Regular attendance during normal scheduled hours is required. Being present is essential for serving customers and performing the essential functions of this position.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Educational Credentials
- High school degree or GED diploma required
- Michigan driver’s license with a driving record in good standing required
- Hi-Lo operator’s license required
Work Experience
- Prior experience in Shipping & Receiving capacity preferred
- Prior experience in customer service preferred
- Prior professional/commercial driving experience preferred
- Prior working knowledge of MS Office, Google Suite, PeopleSoft, and SQBX preferred
