Will departments get to choose between a physical phone, Zoom software, or a combination?

Answer
The EBCO from your area will work with BCOs and supervisors to let you choose between a desk phone and a softphone.
Softphones will come with a wireless headset. Headsets will only be offered with softphones. If you choose a desk phone, you will need to pick up the handset or use the speaker function on the phone.
Physical phones will be placed in classroom and common areas such as adjunct and tutoring spaces.
Zoom was picked in part because it uses the same software used for Zoom meetings and because of its wide range of features. The majority of these features are only available in the Zoom software. You can learn more about choosing between a desk phone and softphone in this knowlegebase article.
