How do you add items within VMWare's environment?

- VMWare
- Any non VMware Device
- Google Drive
- Email
Information
Because of how VMWare is, regardless if you use the Client or the Website version, you cannot add items by dragging and dropping or connecting a external drive to your computer. In order to add items to VMWare you have a couple options
- File Sharing Services (Google Drive, One Drive, Wetransfer, etc)
- Email to yourself (Gmail, Yahoo, Etc)
Answer
File Share Application (Google Drive)
- Go to https://drive.google.com/
- Log in
- Click New at the Top Right Corner on Google Drive
- Depending on what you need, you can upload either an entire folder for multiple items, or upload an individual file
- For Individual Item
- Select file
- Click File upload
- For Folder(Multiple Items)
- Select Folder
- Click Folder Upload
- Wait until item is uploaded
- Once upload is completed, Open VMWare
- Open https://drive.google.com/ on VMware
- click on desired file(s)
- Click Download on selected file(s)
- Save files in J Drive to not loose them
Email Option
- Open https://mail.google.com/
- Click Compose
- On the email draft, at the bottom, click the attachment icon (Paperclip icon)
- Depending on file size, files will send as a Google Drive link and automatically upload them to your google drive
- select desired files
- Change 'to' to your email address
- Send
- Open VMWare
- Open https://mail.google.com/ in VMWare
- download attached files
