How do I create randomizing questions for a test in Blackboard?

Answer

  1. Log in to Blackboard.
  2. Navigate to the desired course.
  3. From the course menu to the left, click Course Tools below Course Management.
  4. Click Tests, Surveys, and Pools.
  5. Click Tests.
  6. Locate the specific test and click the icon next to the test name. 
  7. Click Edit from the menu. 
  8. At the top of the page, click Reuse Question.
  9. Click Create Random Block from the menu.
  10. In the Create Random Block pop-put window, select one or more Pools
    • Random Block draw questions from pools only, not other tests.
  11. Locate the Question types and choose one or more types. 
    • All questions that meet the criteria show on the right side of the screen.
  12. Click Submit.
  13. Locate the Random Block and click the number next to Number of Questions to display.
    • Use a number less than the total number of questions to be sure that different questions are presented each time the test is accessed.
  14. Click Submit
