Blackboard Guest User Missing from Manage Users Tool

This article provides instructions on how to determine why a guest user is not appearing in the manage users area of a course in Blackboard.

Issue

I've added a user to Blackboard as a guest, but cannot see them under Manage Users.

 

Environment:

• Blackboard

 

Resolution:

If user was listed previously as a guest, it may be hidden from view.

1. Expand Users and Groups.
2. Click Manage Users.
3. Click Preferences.
4. Ensure Guest is checked under Roles to Display.
5. Click Submit
