Making a Course Available to Students

How do I make my course available before the start of the semester?

Term Availability and Duration is a setting that ensures your course is available to students from the first day of the semester to the last. It is automatically set by default, so you don't have to do anything if you want to use this setting. However, if you prefer, you can choose to set your own availability and duration. Here are the instructions for doing so.

1. Open Blackboard. 
2. Navigate to the desired course. 
3. Click Customization under the Course Management menu on the bottom left. 
4. Click Properties.
5. Verify Make Course Available is Yes. 
6. Under Set Course Duration, choose Select Dates
7. Enter a Start Date and End Date and time. 
8. Click Submit.
