Refreshing the Software Center may resolve issues surrounding software missing from the Software Center, pending updates, and software installations completed through the Software Center.

Issue
The Software center is not showing all available software.
Environment
- Microsoft Windows
- Software Center
Resolution
Note: If the computer has been off campus for an extended amount of time, it will take a while for the software center to refresh.
Refreshing Configuration Manager
- Expand the Start menu.
- Select the Control Panel menu option.
Note: The Control Panel may also be accessed by typing "Control Panel" in the Search programs and files section of the start menu.
- Expand the View by: menu. This menu is located in the upper right hand corner of the Control Panel.
- Select the Categories menu option.
- Click on the System and Security heading.
- Click on the Configuration Manager heading.
- Navigate to the Actions tab.
- Select the first action listed in the Actions section of the Actions tab.
- Click the Run Now button.
- Repeat for each of the actions listed in the Actions section.
- Close the Control Panel.
Refreshing the Software Center
- Expand the Start menu.
- Select the Software Center menu option. This menu option is located under All Programs in the Microsoft System Center directory.
Note: The Software Center may also be accessed by typing "Software Center" in the Search programs and files section of the start menu.
- Navigate to the Applications tab.
- Press the F5 key on your keyboard. Software Center will now refresh.
