Information
Microsoft 365 is a subscription based suite of applications provided by Microsoft Corporation. The education version of this suite includes the following applications: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft OneNote. This license is only valid for as long as you remain as a student or staff member of Grand Rapids Community College.
Instructions
- Visit https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/education/products/office.
- Click the Get started button.
- Click Next and follow instructions to verify you are a genuine user.
- Enter your school email address to get started.
- Click the button that best describes your role at Grand Rapids Community College.
- Options are I'm a Student and I'm a Teacher - Staff members can choose either and will be given the correct license based on their domain.
- If a message says "You have an account with us." then click Sign In and enter your password or reset it when prompted. Skip to step 12.
- Complete the Create your account form.
- You will need the verification code sent from Microsoft to your GRCC email. This code may take a few minutes to arrive.
- Click the Start button.
- Click the Next button.
- Set up at least one of the additional security options listed.
- Click the Finish button.
- Complete the Invite more people form to invite your friends and colleagues.
- You may also click the Skip button to skip sending invitations.
- You are now logged into your new Microsoft 365 account!
- If available in the upper right, click Install and more > Install Microsoft 365 apps to download and install.
Note: Retirees do not retain their Microsoft 365 license after retiring. Users and retirees can purchase a 365 license
here or alternatively, use the free resources in Google Drive such as Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
