Fixing Network Internet Connection Issues

Information

A computer has problems connecting to the ethernet

Environment

• Windows
• Hardwired Workstations

Process

• Check the physical connection by unplugging and replugging the ethernet back into the computer
• Connect to a different port
• Restart the computer
• Replace the ethernet cable

If the computer connects to the ethernet, update the driver for the ethernet

1. Go to Control Panel 
2. Select Hardware and Sound
3. Then go to Device Manager
