CISCO Headset Not Answering Phone

Summary

Properly power cycling the headset with the power still connected will resolve this issue.

Issue

When pressing the answer/hang-up button on the Plantronics headset attached to the CISCO IP phone, it does not answer or end the call.

 

Environment

  • CISCO IP Phone (not the virtual phone)
  • Plantronics Headset

 

Resolution

The headset dock cable that connects to the phone must be disconnected and reconnected while the power is still attached.
