Submitting Google Docs on Blackboard

Question

I have typed up a document using Google Docs, how can I submit it to Blackboard?

 

Environment

  • Google Docs
  • Google Drive
  • Blackboard

 

Answer

  1. Go to Assignment Submission in Blackboard.
  2. Select Browse Cloud Service under Attach File
  3. Select Google Drive.
  4. Sign in to Google Account.
  5. Select the file you want to upload and click Submit.

OR

  1. Go to drive.google.com
  2. Open the file you want to submit.
  3. Go to FileDownload As, and choose the file type you want to download the Google Doc as.
    • The file will appear in your Downloads folder.
    • The file name will be the name it was given in Google Docs.
  4. Navigate to the Assignment Submission page in Blackboard.
  5. In the Attach Files box, you will click the Browse My Computer button.
    • Navigate to the Downloads folder on the computer.
    • Select the corresponding document and click Open
  6. Once you have verified that the file name is correct under the Attached Files heading, you can click the Submit button in the bottom right-hand corner.
    • You may also click Save Draft to save changes and continue working on your submission later.
