Student Adobe Access

Overview

Students who are enrolled in courses which utilize Adobe software products will be granted free access to GRCC's Adobe licensing. This access is granted for the entirety of a semester so long as the student stays enrolled in a pre approved course. Access will be granted before the end of the first day of classes and removed after finals week has concluded.

Process

  • On the first day of classes each semester (including 7 week semesters), a query is run which pulls all students enrolled in the above courses.
  • Information from that query is then used to bulk import all students into GRCC's Adobe Admin Portal.
  • Once the import is completed, students will automatically receive an email from Adobe with the subject: Get Started with All Apps (please check your spam folder if you do not receive an email by the end of the first day of classes).
  • Please follow the instructions in the email to setup your account.
  • Always use the option "Company / School Account" when signing in to your account.
  • Once your password is setup, head over to All Apps | Adobe Creative Cloud to download the Creative Cloud Desktop application. Once that is installed, you will need to sign into the app. From there, you will be able to install, uninstall and upgrade all apps that are licensed to GRCC.

Frequently Asked Questions

When I log in, it is only showing trials for Adobe products? You most likely logged in using the "Personal Account" option. Please log out and log back in using the "Company / School Account" option.

What if I already have an account I setup with my GRCC email address? You can technically have two Adobe accounts under the same email address. When you enter your email address to sign into Adobe, you will be asked whether you are using a "Personal Account" or a "Company / School Account". Any purchases or subscriptions you have already made will be under the "Personal Account". When you choose the "Company / School Account", this is the account which is created for you by GRCC.

What if I enrolled in a course after the start date? Users are imported on Fridays for the first two weeks of each semester. If you need access sooner, please send an email to itsupport@grcc.edu and we will get you added as soon as your enrollment is confirmed.

If I drop my course, can I still keep my Adobe access? No. Students who drop from the pre approved course lists will have their Adobe access removed. Queries are run throughout the semester to verify all students with access remain enrolled. This is to ensure the college stays compliant with the licensing requirements of Adobe.

What if I can't find the welcome email, even in my spam folder? As long as access was granted for you, you can still log into Adobe without the welcome email. Just head over to https://account.adobe.com and enter your school email address, then select the forgot password option.

I have a subscription to Adobe products, can GRCC cancel this for me? No, GRCC does not have any control over your personal Adobe account, even if you used your GRCC email address. Please make sure you are logging in using the "Personal Account" option if you wish to cancel an existing subscription.
