Copy, Import and Export a Test in Blackboard

Information

These steps will allow the instructor to copy/export a test from Course A and paste/import it into Course B. 

Environment

Process

First, export the test from the current course:

1. Navigate to the course that contains the test.
2. Ensure the Edit Mode is ON, found at the top-right of your course window.
3. Click Course Tools in the Control Panel. 
4. Click Tests, Surveys, and Pools. 
5. Click Tests.
6. Click the arrow to the right of the test name. 
7. Select Export to Local Computer.
8. Save the file to the desktop of your computer.
   • The file will export as a .zip folder do not open or extract the folder
      

Next, import the test into the course of your choice:

1. Navigate to the Blackboard course you will add the test to.
2. Ensure the Edit Mode is ON, found at the top-right of your course window.
3. Click Course Tools from the Control Panel.
4. Click Tests, Surveys, and Pools.
5. Click Tests.
6. Click Import Test. 
7. Click Browse My Computer.
8. Select the file of the exported quiz on your computer.
   • Import the entire .zip folder
9. Click Open.
10. Click OK.

The final step is to deploy the test in a content area where the students can access it.
