Clearing an Attempt in Blackboard

Issue

Student needs to resubmit an assignment.

Environment

• Blackboard

Information

Only the professor has the ability to re open assignments and tests for students.

Resolution

From within course

1. Click Grade Center
2. Click Full Grade Center
3. Locate student/assignment needing resubmission
4. Click the down arrow next to the attempt icon
5. Click View Grade Details
6. Click Clear Attempt
   • ​​​​​​​Alternatively, select Ignore Attempt to ignore the attempt's score in grade calculations and not count it against the maximum number of attempts.
7. Click OK
