Adding a Google Chrome profile desktop shortcut

Adding a Google Chrome profile to your Windows desktop can make it even easier to keep your work and personal browsing separate with the click of a button.

 

Environment

  • Google Chrome
  • Windows

 

Process

  1. At the top right, click the button with your initial or User Icon
  2. Click the profile you would like to create a shortcut for
  3. Click the pencil icon labeled Customize Profile
  4. Scroll to the bottom to Create desktop shortcut
    • Next to Create a desktop shortcut on your device to access directly to this profile, Ensure the toggle switch is blue. The shortcut will be named according to the profile name with a chrome desktop icon.
